DMRC did not pay this amount, as a result this amount has now reached Rs 9000 crore including interest. After this DMRC has approached the Supreme Court. The bench of CJI DY Chandrachud has heard whether DMRC’s application should be accepted or not. Senior advocate Harish Salve questioned DMRC’s petition and demanded its dismissal. However, CJI DY Chandrachud has ordered to constitute a bench of 5 judges to hear the curative petition of DMRC.
Harish Salve demanded reversal of the court’s decision
Senior lawyer Harish Salve argued in the court on behalf of Delhi Airport Metro Express. DMRC has demanded the Supreme Court to reverse the decision of the year 2021. At the same time, Harish Salve has strongly opposed the curative petition of DMRC and has demanded the Supreme Court not to consider the petition. Harish Salve and Mukul Rohatgi, while arguing before the bench of CJI Chandrachud, said that there is no basis for filing a curative petition in the case. Also said that DMRC’s petition should be rejected. Harish Salve said that there is no justification for considering the curative petition.
